verteilte Datenverarbeitung. 1. Begriff: In der betrieblichen Datenverarbeitung eine Verarbeitungsform, bei der logisch zusammengehörige Teilaufgaben auf mehrere Computer verteilt werden, die über ein ⇡ Netz miteinander kommunizieren.
- 2. Ziel: Dezentralisierung betrieblicher Aufgaben, die am Entstehungsort unmittelbar und besser gelöst werden können, ohne dass eine zentrale Verarbeitung erforderlich ist.
- 3. Einsatzbeispiele: Banken und Sparkassen mit zahlreichen Filialen; Produktionsbetriebe mit dezentralen Fertigungsstätten und/oder Lägern.
